I have to share the contrast between Chips and Sweet Girl.  After a long, active day at orchestra camp, Chips has often come home a very tired boy, while Sweet Girl has come home energized.  There is no better way to convey the difference than to share these photos I snapped today.

A half hour after getting home today, Chips was actually crashed out on the top edge of the sofa.  No, I am not making this up (when he awoke, it surprised him, too).

Meanwhile, in the same room, Sweet Girl was beating the rainy afternoon by doing an exercise video.

What do you make of the difference?

Is Chips more introverted than Sweet Girl? I have some strong introvert tendencies--I like people, but being around a lot of them drains me. Extroverts are generally energized by being around people...

I'm reading Sacred Influence for a book club and it points out that it is more taxing on males to express/bond in an intellectual way with others. Then, having done so, it take males seven times longer to recover and often go through a zone out time whereas females often feel more energized and ready to face challenges after expressing and connecting with others. Your photos are precious and timely--maybe there is a correlation between the different levels of serotonin and oxytocin and their responses!
