It’s the Year of the Orange!
After our colder than normal winter, we have got the best tasting, juiciest, sweetest oranges we have ever had on our tree.
Time to squeeze some serious juice! Mmmmmm….

This is just so exotic to me! When we did a ho
use exchange with a family from LA their neighbour's tree kept dropping grapefruit in 'our' garden, and another neighbour gave us lemons warm from the tree. We still talk about those lemons. Imagine the bliss of having your own oranges. We get good imported oranges from December through until about now, then the rest of the year they're not really up to much.
PS - Joshua Bell was amazing. I thought of you and your violin players during the concert. The thing that my daughter kept marvelling about afterwards was how he made notes sound as if they emerged from nowhere - starting so softly and sweetly. He is coming back to Scotland to a small music festival in May - I am going to try to get tickets.
OH yum! I don't like eating oranges but I love fresh juice.
We just discovered that we have a peach tree at our new home. So that's exciting. We'll see how it does but it has lots of peaches on it right now.
Have a great day today.

They look splendid! I am so jealous of your orange tree!
Those oranges look fabulous. Mom and I call each other when we come across some especially good sweet oranges to let each other know what market or state they are from. My boys aren't big meat eaters but they love all fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Our house came with a black raspberry bush. Enjoy those plentiful oranges!
