Dear friends, it is getting late and we need to get up for church early, but I wanted to take a moment to post these three video links from our recital yesterday. It was two hours long! Sweet Girl played after about a half hour, and Chips (and his duet partner) were the final acts of the evening.
Then we all went out for milkshakes! Yummmm....
Here they are..
Sweet Girl's two solos..

I recently found your blog searching for blogging homeschoolers whose kids do Suzuki violin. Lovely playing from both your children. Congrats!
Thanks, ptmom. I will have to check out your blog some time. I am originally from your state, the northeastern part, near NYC.
Congratulations all round - including to Mum!
Lovely performances. Both your children seem to have really taken ownership of their instruments. Sweet Girl played her pieces with real poise, and a great sense of the dance aspect of the minuet. Chips is really fluent with is playing. Such great crisp attack in the Veracini, just what's needed. And I loved the duets. The Shostakovich was played en masse at the Suzuki world convention we were at - very emotional and affecting, and the boys really brought out that aspect.
Thanks, Linda. It is nice to hear from you, as you are familiar with all of this music.
