We are a family of 4 plus two sweet parakeets. We have 2 children, a son (born in 2000) and daughter (born in 2003). We have always home-educated and now our son is embarking on the next step in life - the Air Force Academy. We live in the country on 5 acres, we love to RV when we can, our kids study violin and have participated in youth orchestra, CAP, and varsity tennis. Welcome to our blog.

A happy redneck is a good person. When we were driving home from the wedding in CT on July 4, we drove with the car windows open so we could hear fireworks, and the boys ooohhhed with glee when we spotted some. I reckon we might be rednecks, too.
And it was 24 degrees and snowing here. We did not wear our elf shoes outside. Lucky you guys!
Happy New Year! How nice to have such warm weather! We spent New Year's Eve in Texas but it was in the 30s. Now that we're back home, it is below zero.
